Latino Heritage Committee

The Napa Valley Latino Heritage Committee became a program of the Napa County Hispanic Network in 2017.  Now in its ninth year, the Latino Heritage Committee  continues annually to:

  • create and distribute fall calendars of Latinx-centric events

  • host a weekend-long celebration of El Día de Los Muertos in Napa

  • run an art contest for middle & high school to design its Día de los Muertos poster.

  • host special events, which vary per year.

 Past Special Events of the Latino Heritage Committee:

2013:  Ellas, Latinas Making A Difference in the Napa Valley  photo exhibition with biographies.   

2015:  Hecho Aquí  photo exhibition of Latinx entrepeneurs in the Napa Valley with bilingual biographies.  It was also made into a book.  

2018: Perspectivas de la Vida Closing Reception in conjunction with Yountville Arts.

2019:  Artist Reception for Ivan Rafael Colin at Bazan Cellars.

Past Latinx Cultural Events of the Hispanic Network Board:

The board of the Hispanic Network also underwrites and assists with cultural events  including Bracero Day in 2017 in conjunction with exhibits at Napa Valley Museum and Viva Mariachi festivals at Napa Valley College.
